The Ambidextrous Battleworn Beast®

There’s something uniquely attractive about a battleworn finish — it looks like a gun has seen it all and is still ready for anything. The Battleworn Beast® build is an AR-15 rifle or pistol with a specially applied nickel boron coating that yields the visual appeal of a distressed finish and the uncompromising protection of our exceptional NiB-X® formulation. 

A completely ambidextrous billet AR-15 with a match-grade barrel, the Battleworn Beast® is built for performance. Its full-coverage nickel boron finish affords it this coating’s incredible lubricity inside and out to keep it reliable even in the face of aggressive use and heavy carbon fouling. 

The coating we use on our Beast® line has passed a 30,000-round torture test without flaking, wear or damage, and this AR wears a battleworn finish in honor of that resilience. 

A Distressed Finish With Premium Parts

We start this build with a set of 7075-T6 aluminum billet receivers, made to Mil-Spec dimensions and with easy-feed M4 ramps in the upper. The styling includes a large, flared magwell with front finger rests, lightening cuts and sharp angles for a uniquely aggressive appearance. 

The match-grade barrel is a chrome moly vanadium steel, cold hammer forged and cut to a 1:6 twist in the 5.56 NATO version. This 16-inch government profile barrel comes with a mid-length gas system, ½-28 threads at the muzzle, a door breacher muzzle brake and a deep black nitride finish for longevity. 

To finish out the hardware on this ambidextrous AR-15, we add a 15-inch free-floating tactical handguard with M-LOK® slots and a full-length top picatinny rail. The handguard, upper and lower are all covered inside and out with our deep gray battleworn nickel boron finish for an unmistakable look. 

Enhanced user-friendliness comes in with the Battleworn Beast® sporting ambidextrous small parts and an improved charging handle, plus a black ERGO pistol grip and a six-position adjustable stock with triangular cheekwell. Finally, we add a polished nickel boron bolt carrier group and a crisp, smooth two-stage trigger. The completed build weighs in at just 6.5 pounds. 

The end result is a product that looks, feels and shoots like nothing else on the market.
